Let’s Experience Europe’s Diversity
Welcome to my website!
If you’re interested in European culture and visiting from outside Europe, you’ve come to the right place. I also warmly welcome those from Europe who want to learn more about their fellow Europeans and their diverse cultures!
“Γνῶθι σεαυτόν“, “Know Thyself” is an inscription at the temple of the ancient god Apollo in Delphi, Greece, and one of the sayings that marked human philosophy in Europe since its origins in the 5th century B.C..
“Know Thyself” – that´s what we will do on this site.
In the picture beside this text, you see the excavation site of the oracle of Delphi, where thousands of pilgrims went to receive counsel in ancient times. Have you ever been there?
Welcome to my blog Context Europe.eu. I intend to help Europeans and non-Europeans take a deep dive into our history, landscape, art, and literature, as well as perhaps a bit of our politics, to gain a deeper understanding of who we are.
I have lived and worked in Europe my whole life. I speak five European languages, which helps me to deepen my ideas by consulting direct sources without having to rely on translations.
This site aims to bridge diversity and be a fun read, as well! Enjoy!
